Dahlia Tuber FAQ

When will the dahlias go live each year?

Our goal is to have them posted by Thanksgiving each year. Frost typically hits mid October and the digging process begins.

Can I preorder before the sale goes live?

Sorry, no preorders allowed. With the volume of orders we receive for tubers, all orders must be submitted through our online shop to properly track inventory.

How does dahlia tuber shipping work?

REGULAR:

Our default shipping option. We will begin shipping tubers in March 2024 and will continue until all orders are fulfilled.

We will be sure to watch the weather and ship accordingly if there is a weather event during shipping time.

We will email you a shipping notification along with your tracking number when your order is shipped.

EARLY: *LIMITED AVAILABILITY*
Early Shipping is recommended for growers in warmer zones and those who want to propagate. If you would like your order to be shipped out between February-March, add the Early Shipping item to your cart. Boxes will be shipped with insulation and Uniheat warmers to ensure their safe arrival.

Early Shipping is limited to 300 orders for the 2023-2024 season. Tubers will be shipped between February and March as time and weather allow.

If you would like some tubers to arrive early, please place one order with the Early Shipping option and another order without it.

DUE TO THE VOLUME OF ORDERS WE RECEIVE, WE ARE NOT BE ABLE TO HOLD, DELAY, OR CHANGE YOUR ORDER. IF YOU PLAN TO BE OUT OF TOWN DURING THESE SHIPPING TIMES, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A PLAN FOR SOMEONE TO RECEIVE YOUR PACKAGE(S) FOR YOU.

Do you ship internationally?

Tubers are available for shipping within the US only. Due to phytosanitary certificate requirements, we are unfortunately unable to ship to Canada.

Can I pick up my order?

Orders can also be picked up Thursday, April 25th, Friday April 26th, and Saturday, April 27th during Farmstand hours. This is the only time dahlia tuber orders will be available for pickup. If you won't be able to make it that weekend, do not choose this option. To select the farm pickup option, use the code: LOCALPICKUP at checkout.

Do you offer wholesale prices?

We do not sell tubers wholesale, but we offer bulk deals on some varieties that will be listed in our shop along with the single tubers.

Can I add on to my order?

All sales are final. Due to the volume of orders, we cannot modify or update your order once it has been completed. If you would like to add on to your order, please place another order and they will be shipped separately. Orders cannot be combined and will be shipped separately.

Are your dahlia tubers organic?

While we are not certified organic, we grow with organic practices. Our tubers are dipped with Oxidate after dividing and before being put into storage. See the OMRI certificate for that product here.

Are your tubers tested for disease?

We regularly test our tuber and plant material throughout the growing season in partnership with the Plant Pathology Program at The Ohio State University, and also Oregon State University. If you believe there is an issue with your tuber or plant please fill out this form. For a more details on dahlia tuber disease follow this link to our page.

Tubers come in all shapes and sizes, but all of these will produce beautiful plants!
